JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Strategic Sourcing Specialist (REQ# 200606312) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Support forecasting for all iPad Display supply chains, run financial forecasting model, build out capacity models, negotiate pricing with suppliers and manage products through their EOL. Negotiate, implement and manage supplier contracts and service level agreements with year over year productivity expectations. Lead supply chain transformational initiatives focused on multi-vendor sourcing strategy to mitigate supply risks and improve competitive leverage. Manage the entire sourcing process from supplier identification, qualification, price negotiation to influencing stakeholders on sourcing decisions through total cost of ownership analysis, break even analysis, and price versus performance analysis. Develop should cost model and optimizing supplier variance to benchmark costs. Drive technology roadmap alignment between engineering teams and suppliers. Recommend and influence supplier selection, qualification prioritization, pricing forecast, product offering strategy, New Product Introduction and production ramp materials positioning. Drive cross functional stakeholder engagements among multiple business units and aligning business roadmap with Apple Procurement strategy. Develop key supplier performance metrics, tracking and managing performance through periodic KPI reviews. Track market insights, developing proactive knowledge on supply/demand scenario, inflation impact and executing strategies to mitigate such impact. Communicate with internal stakeholders proactively on supplier lead times, supplying situation and strategies to mitigate material shortage. Develop a nuanced understanding of the commodity landscape in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power within core materials markets and use industry dynamics to Apple’s advantage. Assess and mitigate risks to the business; and manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team. Rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy. Apply an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence Apple’s future product roadmap and sourcing decisions.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,845 - $184,600/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
