Salary Range: $182,978 - $210,425/yr

 

TITLE:Vice President

JOB SITE: 70 Willow Road, Suite 200, Menlo Park, CA 94025; Must appear in office 3 days per week; WFH permissible 2 days per week.

Job Description: Responsible for building a practice and expertise (i.e. a “magnet”) around either a particular vertical and/or geography. Responsible for building out professional network in the magnet, developing relationships with the relevant companies, executives, investors, intermediaries, and potential advisors in the magnet. Identifying and attending relevant conferences and events in the magnet.  Working towards sourcing and ultimately leading and completing a new investment in the magnet. Structuring, documenting, negotiating and executing equity investment transactions into technology companies in both the United States, India and APAC. Leading due diligence and organizational meetings, discussions with C-level management of target companies and service providers supporting diligence and documentation for a transaction. Helping lead investment committee and internal approval process for completing a new investment. Managing junior investment professionals who are supporting various processes and workflows in the transaction and oversee compilation and drafting of internal memos and financial models. Attending monthly business reviews and quarterly board meetings with Riverwood portfolio companies, potentially serving in a formal capacity either as firm’s official board member or observer role. Leading Riverwood Scalability Playbook (“RSP”) initiatives at portfolio company, including interfacing with senior executive team at the company to ensure buy-in and monitoring progress toward goals. Leading both M&A and financing initiatives at portfolio companies. Leading internal annual portfolio reviews and other regular portfolio updates, including drafting and presenting associated materials. Supporting recruiting efforts to identify, interview and attracting talented associate candidates. Supporting internal training efforts, including serving as a mentor and coach to junior team members. Meeting with existing and prospective limited partners updating them on the firm’s activities. Domestic & International travel required, 20%. Must appear in office 3 days per week; WFH permissible 2 days per week.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in business analytics, computer science or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in an Engineering, Product Management, Investment Banking, Private Equity role or job offered. Alternatively, employer will accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in business analytics, computer science, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in an Engineering, Product Management, Investment Banking, Private Equity role or job offered.

 

Experience and/or education must include:   

  1. Expertise in advanced corporate finance concepts including leveraged buyouts (LBOs), discounted cash flow (DCF), and capital structure optimization.

  2. Ability to construct detailed, multi-scenario financial models for private investment evaluation

  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, macros, and data analysis tools.

  4. Experience conducting sensitivity analyses, scenario planning, and regression modeling for financial forecasting

  5. Deal sourcing and execution with companies in the US and India

  6. Strong analytical capabilities to assess and compare various software and tech-related business models (e.g., subscription-based, usage/consumption-based, transaction-volume based).

  7. Ability to evaluate performance drivers across multiple sectors, including software, IT services, and hardware
