Shipping&Receiving Office Associate - PT or FT - San Mateo

Responsibilities:

  • Determines method of shipment and prepares shipping documents.
  • Receives merchandise - checks and signs delivery slips.
  • Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods.
  • Organizes distribution and shipping of merchandise. Makes necessary verifications against documents, unpacks and routes goods.
  • Maintains internal record-keeping systems.
  • Assembles and packs inventory to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves.
  • Performs data entry.  
  • The above is not all-inclusive and may include other tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
