Experience Designer 2 - Multiple Positions

Experience Designer 2 (Multiple Positions), Electronic Arts Inc., Redwood City, CA. Define, ideate, and design simple authoring workflows for complex content. Architect player flows, screens, content, and states that are intuitive and engaging while balancing player, business, and technical goals. Partner with stakeholders to set priorities and find balanced design solutions to player and business goals within technical constraints. Define problem spaces and lead design solutions rooted in player data. Drive a design process and methodologies that supports player centered game development. Promote usability and accessibility. Craft UX artifacts (experience maps, flows, wireframes, prototypes) to guide development and research. Create clear written communication, allowing players to intuitively use a product, including tone of voice, naming conventions, taxonomy, and text strings. Drive innovative efforts that uncovers new value with new kinds of experiences. Support the creation and management of a design system. Telecommuting permitted. (ED-B-102-CA)

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $125,653 - $170,600/yr. EA offers benefits incl. PTO, medical/dental/vision insurance & 401(k) to eligible E’ees. Certain roles eligible for bonus & equity.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Arts, Interaction Design, Technology or a related field of study and one (1) year of experience in UX, experience or product design, or related occupation.

 

In the alternative, Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Arts, Interaction Design, Technology or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in UX, experience or product design, or related occupation.

 

Qualifying experience must include one year in at least 6 of the following skills (which may be gained concurrently):

 

  • UX methodologies and tools to support visual design products;
  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, Principal, or Adobe XD;
  • Human-computer interaction;
  • Wireframing or prototyping;
  • User flows;
  • JavaScript, CSS, or HTML;
  • Visual design in composition, iconography, layout, topography, or color theory;
  • Motion graphics to create usable interfaces;
  • Technical User Interface authoring frameworks and implementation; or
  • User research and usability testing for user interface or design performance.

 

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

 

Up to 10% travel (domestic) possible based on business need.
