Purchasing Buyer

TITLE:     Purchasing Buyer

DUTIES:
Responsible for identifying and procuring goods and services required by the organization, while managing all procurement-related activities (20% of time). Review and update existing procurement Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation to ensure alignment with business goals (5% of time). Develop and document new workflow processes for integrating NetSuite Manufacturing Work Orders and Service Purchase Orders (5% of time). Create and implement reconciliation processes for Coil inventory management to ensure accurate tracking and reporting (5% of time). Prepare reports, tables, and charts to support procurement decision-making and provide actionable insights. (5% of time). Maintain up-to-date status reports on procurement activities and projects, ensuring stakeholders are informed of progress (12% of time). Manage indirect procurement: Oversee sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services, including office supplies, IT equipment, and facility services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards (8% of time). Vendor onboarding and evaluation: Facilitate the onboarding of new vendors, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure all vendors meet compliance requirements (8% of time). Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both direct and indirect suppliers, focusing on performance optimization and cost savings (20% of time). Provide administrative support to the organization and lead training initiatives to upskill personnel in procurement workflows and tools (12% of time). 10% domestic travel to company, vendor, and customer sites.

REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree* in business administration, supply chain management, economics, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.

Experience must also include 3  years of experience utilizing ERP (NetSuite) and integrating it with other applications; 3  years of experience managing multiple projects; 3 years of experience utilizing business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems; 2 years of experience in Supplier performance analysis and procurement optimization using data-driven approaches; 3 years of experience with ERP (NetSuite) utilization for purchase order creation, tracking, and system integrations; and 2 years of experience in Financial accuracy management, including invoice verification and reconciliation.

Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. *Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, economics, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields in lieu of a Master’s degree and 3 years of the above experience.

SALARY:                               $126,131 per year

LOCATION:           40 hours/week in Fremont, CA (telecommuting one day per week permitted)
