DUTIES: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Hardware Development Engineers in Cupertino, CA. Responsible for Display Module Equipment and Process Prototyping and development. Design, analyze, prototype and explore innovative module processes and equipment. Responsible for the mechanical design for assorted display module assembly from start to completion. Perform structural, thermal and vibration (dynamics) analysis for design qualifications to ensure a low-risk implementation after first article inspection (FAI) and functionality test. Define and implement a process and equipment sets for the purpose of quick-turn prototyping of novel display module technologies and methods. Create prototypes and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Work with cross-functional teams responsible for designing and producing new displays and assembly technologies. Responsible for optical imaging, laser system integration and process and metrology equipment design. Plan and execute for Design of Experiments (DOE) including data collection and analysis for early stage processing prototyping and development. Draw conclusions after analyzing data for process improvement and guidance. Develop metrology and inspection techniques for verification of new module display technology.
