JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for ASIC Design Engineers in Cupertino, California. Create software to verify architecture and functionality of pre-silicon hardware designs. Review specifications, develop attributes, tests, and coverage plans, and define methodology and test benches. Work with design and micro- architecture teams to understand the performance and functional goals of the design. Conduct test plan reviews, develop block/full chip tests, triage failures, and maintain design specifications. Support gate level functional verification, run regressions, perform bug tracking, and analyze code and functional coverage. Maintain deliverable to align with project goals and support cross-functional engineering. Responsible for developing best in class methodologies and flows for Apple silicon for mobile products. Architect, develop, maintain and enhance large scale regression system. Optimize automated regression system for maximum throughput, efficient license utilization and reliability. Interface with multiple design and CAD teams to seek opportunities for further automation and regression. Develop sub-micron custom library methodologies to automate the library design and publish processes. Develop sub-micron custom library QA procedures and scripts.
