JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Hardware Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Design sensors for consumer electronics. Prototype and integrate System-level future sensor solutions, analog circuit design, circuit optimization to meet signal and power, and coexistence with other sub-systems in the final product.  Analyze failure mode and diagnose root cause of reliability testing failures and field returns of current and future sensors with the goal to find mitigations to ensure higher factory yields and better user experience. Design schematic boards and flexible assemblies to ensure circuits are functional overall operating conditions. Scope future technology, proof-of-concept investigations, and circuit and sensor modeling simulations to predict performance before hardware is built. Coordinate and integrate cross-functional technical development of sensors. Present updates on key developments and issues to executive management on a regular basis. Contribute to technical assessment to strategic decision-making related to technology and investments. Develop algorithms to enable hardware compensation, improve detectability of corner designs, and improve general sensor performance.
