Senior Software Engineer, Platform

Keep Truckin, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Platform for its San Francisco, California office.

Job Duties: Define software architecture for the backend components and services. Design scalable, secure,
maintainable software systems. Define the architectural roadmap that meets current and future product needs 
by working with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, firmware, product and software engineering. Build 
reusable components and services that will be used across software product initiatives. Improve the 
performance and reliability of our services including databases, web services, and other integrations. Provide 
technical leadership, elevate engineering practices and branding, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related
field, plus three years of experience in: Developing advanced scalable and highly available backend software in a 
clustered server environment target for mobile clients and web services; Defining, developing, and writing 
computer code for mobile applications, Geolocation based software, and messaging services between mobile 
devices; Building secure systems and abuse prevention, human verification, rate limiting, and selective blocking; 
Database scaling techniques; Profiling memory and performance in a distributed environment; Third party 
systems such as Kafka, Redis, Memcached, RDBMS, ElasticSearch, or MongoDB; and Software development 
tools including Unix, Functional and Object Oriented languages, and Version Control tools.
