JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Systems Design Engineers in Cupertino, California. Create and execute detailed test plans for antenna passive and over-the-air (OTA) performance. Verify antennas’ suitability for wireless portable devices with good radiation performance, including Total Radiated Power (TRP), Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). Provide feedback to the design engineers for performance optimization. Create test reports and conduct the radiated tests for type approval and certification. Create test plans to quantify modulation schemes, as required, depending on the wireless communication system being designed. Maintain chamber/equipment including calibration, ripple, and systems check. Work with various groups such as software, Desense, Co-existence (Coex), Field and radio frequency (RF) teams to identify/troubleshoot software implementation, Desense, OTA issue. Provide details of errors and issues to software team to improve and implement software update. Make hardware changes to implement modification and measure conducted power and sensitivity. Maintain accurate documentation regarding latest specification changes and updates.
