JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Hardware Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Review Mac platform architecture and identifying key areas for Hardware validation. Write test plan and execution strategy for Mac Platforms. Develop and optimize the framework, tools, and tests to create a controlled validation environment for small and large scale validation. Create software checks to compare observed behavior against expected behavior that is derived from specification. Generate focused and pseudo random test cases of various configurations based on coverage analysis. Debug failures from internal and cross functional teams, across software, firmware, and hardware, to arrive at root cases. Analyze large data sets to find trends and anomalies in system behavior. Design test randomizer and sequencer for providing test combinations. Debug test cases to interact properly with multi-threaded test sequences. Develop test software to automate test deployment and sequence generation for increased test coverage. Continuously integrate system design and integrating into test deployment processes. Design test cases for new device subsystems.
