JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Data Engineer in Cupertino, California. Build and support customer analytics with scalable and robust architecture, tools, frameworks, software applications, data products, and critical data pipelines. Ensure customer analytics are optimized for rapid business intelligence, data analysis, and data science. Build and maintain scalable, low latency, fault tolerant and robust ETL, Logging, and Alerting framework. Build and maintain complex ETL pipelines and data products to support customer analytics. Conduct data migration from Teradata to Data Vault using parquet, spark and data pipelines. Tune and monitor application for sub-second SLA and performance. Review and interpret business requirements and translate them into data models for catering ad-hoc reporting capabilities. Build lift and shift capability using open source technologies, such as docker and Kubernetes. Deploy inclusive data quality checks to ensure high quality of data. Productionalize machine learning modules and provide capability to do data science at scale on petabytes of data. Perform data modeling for reporting applications and MDM. Monitor work using scrum and agile.
