JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Build and Release Engineers in Cupertino, California. Develop, maintain, and enhance build systems. Engineer systems and tools to support the build, integration, and verification of complex software systems spanning multiple hardware platforms, embedded devices, mobile platforms, and cloud-based services. Develop tools and new frameworks to make the job of software building and deployment easier. Document and develop build and release tooling to support multiple software configurations. Automate the compilation, continuous integration, testing, packaging, and distribution of multiple software components. Develop tools and scripts to automate builds and enforce the software process. Collaborate with Build, Integration, Test, and Software engineers to develop tools for build, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) automation, and to analyze software build trends and identify the issues that can impact developer productivity. Identify, collaborate, and implement process improvement opportunities. Perform daily software builds of macOS, iOS, Linux, and its related application products. Troubleshoot and resolve complex software build and integration issues. Enhance and maintain automation tools and web services.
