JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in CUPERTINO, California. Design and develop software services used in Apple manufacturing processes. Design and develop tools to support next-generation Apple factory manufacturing infrastructure. Using current programming language and technologies, write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Complete documentation and procedures for use, testing, and maintenance. Engage with users and within the multi-functional team to determine technical specifications. Anticipate and plan for the corner cases and error handling. Design and implement data storage structures and interfaces. Independently prioritize and forecast different tasks with a proven track record of timely execution and an eye towards minimizing technical debt from the beginning. Debug and root cause report issues from users and realtime monitoring services. Profile and optimize performance: memory and CPU usage. Continuously be aware of software security vulnerabilities, exploits, and hardening. Travel required 15%.
