Zillow, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer for its San Francisco, California office. Job Duties: Build resilient and scalable software applications within architecture, design and production quality
requirements. Design, develop, and Unit/UI test large-scale mobile applications. Identify potential software
quality issues. Advocate mobile development best practices. Define, design, and deliver critical features for
mobile applications. Use various software testing tools to conduct code reviews and root cause analysis sessions.
Support the design team from a software development standpoint on rapid prototyping and devising new ways
for Zillow's users to shop real estate.Primary Requirements: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Three years of experience in: Architecting efficient and reusable front-end abstractions that drive complex user
interfaces using the Android SDKs; Using Java development kit to implement code bases for mobile application
development; Android SDK performance tools and optimization techniques; RESTful APIs, Asynchronous requests
and parsing JSON response data; Enhancing data model layer supporting design patterns such as MVC or MVVM;
Working with QA to fix bugs and improve application performance; and Implementing continuous integration with
testing and release automation using Jenkins.Alternative Requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related
field. Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in: Architecting efficient and reusable front-end
abstractions that drive complex user interfaces using the Android SDKs; Using Java development kit to implement
code bases for mobile application development; Android SDK performance tools and optimization techniques;
RESTful APIs, Asynchronous requests and parsing JSON response data; Enhancing data model layer supporting
design patterns such as MVC or MVVM; Working with QA to fix bugs and improve application performance; and
