JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Machine Learning Engineers in Cupertino, California. Design and develop computer vision systems and algorithms. Perform software and hardware requirement engineering for optomechanical design for near eye imaging. Implement algorithms in restricted compute environments. Execute Silicon definition, system validation, and algorithm and system sensitivity analysis. File strategic intellectual property patents and perform multi-view geometry. Apply in-depth background in computer vision, object detection, tracking and recognition, multiple view geometry, 3D computer vision, and surface feet per minute (SfM)/simultaneous localization and map (SLAM) to transform machine learning technologies into practical, state-of-the-art systems. Responsible for development of software for detection and measurement of objects, including writing software in C++, documenting source code, and conducting code review. Conduct literature research, develop new approaches, software prototype those approaches, measure the performance, and assess and compare those approaches/algorithms. Responsible for cross-platform and framework development, as well as porting algorithms from the legacy framework to a new framework.
