JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineers in Cupertino, California. Design investigations and test performance to drive system quality across all Mac products. Responsible for collecting and analyzing performance data on all Mac hardware. Provide technical leadership to the Quality Assurance team. Understand and drive appropriate performance metrics for each system. Drive automation improvements from setup to execution to reporting. Identify gaps in test coverage and define new tests or replace existing ones. Present findings to cross-functional teams, including senior management. Collaborate tightly with cross-functional teams to drive performance issues and improvements. Define test plans and reports for desktop and laptop testing from the standpoint of systems performance measurement. Responsible for post-mortem analysis to understand and drive field issues.
