JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Systems Design Engineer in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Conduct system test plans for wireless technology using test instruments, such as Radio Frequency (RF) Signal Generators, Oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzer. Evaluate prototype systems by performing focused experiments in lab and field, coexistence, thermal, and RF/Antenna validation. Conduct early evaluations of Prototypes and Hardware Systems on different wireless technologies, including performance metrics creation/evolution, post processing and analysis of trace log from the field. Work with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and perform deep dive analysis into internal logs to understand and identify root cause of any Hardware or Software System issues. Identify system performance issues through in-depth analysis of internal logs. Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve system performance. Create and implement new test cases to meet product design goals. Conduct hardware testing from prototypes to product development. Travel required 30%.
