JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for ASIC Design Engineers in Cupertino, California. Implement physical design of partitions for highly complex systems on a chip (SoC) utilizing state of the art process technology. Responsible for floor planning, pin assignment, macro placement, and optimization. Execute timing, physical and electrical verification, and driving the signoff closure for partitions. Perform placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and post route optimization. Complete DRC (Design Rule Check), LVS (Layout Vs Schematic), Formal, MVRC (Multi Voltage Rule Check), and Full Chip closure. Implement setup, hold, transition, IR (Static Voltage drop), and IVD (Dynamic voltage drop) fixing.
