JOB ID:                 6213464

JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for ASIC Design Engineers in Cupertino, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design mixed- signal circuits for complex IC systems. Apply understanding of transistor operation and device physics to such analog and digital IC designs and analyze in detail trade-offs at circuit and system level. Utilize basic analog circuit building blocks (e.g., band-gaps, bias circuits, op-amps, switched-cap circuits, regulators, etc.), digital building blocks (e.g., latches, flip-flops, logic gates, etc.), and feedback/compensation techniques. Circuit analysis expected include, for example, AC/DC circuit analysis, small signal circuit analysis, feedback loop theory, statistics, mismatch analysis, etc. Tools used for delivery and analysis of circuit designs include Cadence schematic and layout entry tool (Virtuoso), Spice simulation tools (e.g., HSpice, Spectre), static timing tools, C/Matlab/VerilogA modeling of AMS blocks, scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python), etc. Verify silicon results of circuits with the use of spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.
