JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineers in Cupertino, California. Design and develop software for routing of audio and video content across an ecosystem of external accessories. Review and analyze bug reports to root cause customer issues and determine prioritization of fixes. Assist with the development and review of bug status using custom or commercial bug and work tracking systems. Analyze and find solutions for software bugs. Debug complex real-time multi-threaded software components. Design and implement new features on embedded platforms. Design and implement new audio and video routing and session management, including how to handle interruptions and other asynchronous events for iOS, macOS, and other products. Collaborate with Human Interface teams to help define expected routing and session management behaviors for iOS, macOS, and other products. Collaborate with other engineering teams within Apple to facilitate cross-functional software and hardware features, such as enhanced Bluetooth headset functionality. Collaborate with quality engineering teams to assist in the development of comprehensive test plans to ensure high quality software releases.
