JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineers in Cupertino, California. Design and develop software for Bluetooth radios in Apple products. Utilize knowledge of antennas and radio design to influence future HW decisions in favor of Bluetooth features. Propose specifications for new features in Bluetooth Hardware and Firmware to optimize power usage on iOS/watchOS/tvOSmacOS. Use wireless frequencies analyzers Ellysis & Telledyne to investigate and fix Bluetooth issues on all Apple platforms. Profile Bluetooth software and memory performance using tools such as ASAN, TSAN, UBISAN, Instruments, leaks, artraces. Offload software processing impact by create firmware design specifications for vendor implementation. Bring up development hardware for new products using logic analyzers, power supplies, and probes. Analyze severity and impact of Bluetooth issues to provide risk analysis for bug planning. Interface with cross functional teams to gather feature requirements and develop novel solutions/features. Analyze other radio technologies to understand wireless coexistence impact of new Bluetooth features. Experience in multithreading and working in CPU/memory/power constrained environments.
