JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Manufacturing Quality Engineer in Cupertino, CA. Develop and implement cutting edge quality inspection tools in a high volume manufacturing environment. Project management experience and a solid understanding of problem solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical process control. Drive corrective action cross functionally with internal and external team members. Interface with internal and external groups and ensure proper definition of quality expectation and that appropriate techniques are used for the product. Monitor production yield and performance and communicate summary to appropriate management. Plan and propose experiments to produce timely and accurate analysis used to drive process and supply chain decisions. Establish validation procedures to determine qualification process of cosmetics and dimension of tooling for project builds. Lead capability assessment and review part design documentation. Manage network of suppliers worldwide, with responsibility of supplier delivery to aggressive schedules. Use Quality Control and Manufacturing Concepts appropriate to program and commodity. Travel required 25%.
