JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Machine Learning Engineer in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA : Design and develop web content processing frameworks, algorithms, and machine learning models, to extract structure at scale from billions of unstructured web documents for different applications, including but not limited to web search indexing, web search ranking and web answer extraction. Develop, train, and evaluate methods for natural language processing of textual data to extract valuable information. Develop statistical and human-assisted evaluation methods to determine accuracy of extracted information. Program and develop large scale systems processing hundreds of petabytes of data. Use statistical methods to perform data analysis in order to find defects, prioritize fixes, and measure opportunities. Work with cross-functional teams to make information extraction improvements to achieve company goals. Propose, implement, and monitor improvements to web crawling efficiency. Program and develop high-throughput HTTP APIs, handling tens to hundreds of thousands of requests per second. Debug code for functional and performance issues.
