JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for RF/Analog/Mixed Signal Engineer in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Responsible for electrostatic discharge (ESD)/latch-up (LU) requirements of all integrated circuits (ICs) developed by Apple and for Apple. Ensure the silicon is designed to meet all Apple ESD/LU specs. Define comprehensive ESD methodology for Apple ICs and specify chip and intellectual property (IP) level ESD requirements, as well as latchup methodology for Apple ICs and LU specs for ICs and IPs. Design ESD protection devices and circuits to meet ESD specs and design requirements. Develop test structures to characterize silicon for ESD/latch-up (LU) properties, and rules based on silicon data. Generate and maintain ESD device library for both internal and external design teams. Manage ESD design and reviews with internal design teams, external vendors, and foundries, leading up to signoff. Generate and review ESD/latch-up testing plans with for Apple and vendor ICs. Interface with foundry on ESD/latch-up developments and ESD device library generation. Drive ESD/latch-up related debug activities.
