JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Digital Forensics Engineer in Cupertino, California. Provide support to complex internal investigations and security incidents. Maintain the security for and chain of custody (CoC) of all evidence and support documentation. Conduct forensic examinations of digital evidence through the process of identification, collection, and analysis of digital evidence. Utilize multiple commonly used forensic tool sets (Axiom, BlackLight, FTK, UFED Physical Analyzer, X-Ways, EnCase). Write and present technical reports of findings from digital analysis in support of investigation. Collect and analyze relevant network logs. Use programming languages such as Python, SQL, C, C++, Bash to improve efficiency of workflows, query data and address gaps in forensic tooling. Communicate with business partners clearly & effectively during and after the completion of an investigation. Work with team members as well as other internal and external teams to develop forensic processes for new technologies as well as automate existing ones. Oversee and maintain the forensics tools leveraged for investigations, troubleshooting, researching, and resolving technical issues/limitations independently. Perform ongoing research and development with the latest digital forensic trends and tools.
