JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Data Engineer in Cupertino, California. Design, architect and develop data models and pipelines to build data warehouse for reporting and analytics requirements. Analyze business requirements and convert into technical specifications and design documents. Assess availability of data from disparate systems to meet functional and non-functional requirements. Design data models to collect and store complex data sets from external and internal source systems. Design of end to end architecture incorporating big data techniques and strategies for scale, efficiency and automation. Leverage APIs and induction tools to induct data from external and internal source systems. Engineer pipelines to build a robust extraction, transformation and loading process between sources and data warehouse. Implement error tracking and validation routines to ensure completeness and accuracy of data. Conduct and participate in design and peer reviews for development projects. Partner with product and program managers to build roadmap and communicate deliverables to stakeholders. Build analytical tools utilizing data pipelines to derive insights into key business performance indicators.
