JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Test Engineer in Cupertino, California. Drive technical root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve system quality. Drive debugging and failure analysis with Product Design, Component Engineering, Test, and supplier quality. Demonstrate initiative with a high level of energy DOEs and statical analysis using Six Sigma principles. Work on new product introduction(NPI) with cross-sectional team (Product Design, EE, PCB Layout, Reliability, TPM, Component Quality and Capex) to ramp the product to make it scalable. Provide trend analysis of defects occurring internally, customer and supplies. Reduce cost for the company for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines. Work towards closure of potential test gaps and correlations issues between our Vendors and manufacturing processes. Improve yield at both factory and field reliability of products. Work on all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life including material attrition, scrap rate and DPPM reduction. Direct Electronic Manufacturing experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass production to work with the Contract Manufacturers (CM) across Asia. Identify early field failures (EFA) and provide executive updates on how to mitigate issues. International Travel required 35%.
