JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, CA. Identify functional areas and methods to test embedded system software. Develop automated tests and tools (using Python, C, C++) for functional validation and quality measurement. Set up and maintain test automation infrastructure and administrate the embedded lab equipment and systems. Work with development engineers to debug and triage problems and drive the problem-solving process. Establish requirements for validation of sensor technologies of future Apple products based on the technical analysis. Design test plans and implement automated test for new features in sensor technology with focus to cover all possible user and system scenarios and collect all needed data for analysis of the problem. Screen and analyze incoming issues with maintaining automated tests. Perform manual QA testing of nominated changes to operating systems. Analyze test results to identify and report issues and use deep understanding of the technology and validation tools to help find root cause of potential issues as well as propose/implement corrective action for the issues identified and work with other teams for implementation.
