JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for ASIC Design Engineers in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Validation of RF system functionality and performance for Cellular GNSS applications. Bench testing, debugging, and characterization of RF SoC IP including receivers, PLL, amplifiers, ADCs, crystal oscillators, and PMU. Review specifications and define methodology, tests and test benches. Work with design and micro-architecture teams to understand the performance and functional goals of the design. Interfacing with System bring-up and integration teams on RF board layout, test interface methodology and programming sequence, and RF calibration programming. Interfacing with System bring-up and integration teams on RF board layout, test interface methodology and programming sequence, and RF calibration programming. Create software to verify architecture and functionality of hardware designs. Conduct test plan reviews, develop block/full chip tests, triage failures, and maintain design specifications. Debugging of chip level or board level de-sense and spur issues. Generation of RF design/verification/test report. Maintain deliverable to align with project goals and support cross-functional engineering.
