JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineers in Cupertino, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop software to manage data transport and replication across data centers for Apple Services. Develop framework for serving personalized and non-personalized data replication between multiple data centers with strong consistency and low latency using Java, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases. Develop scalable services and components for transporting data bidirectional across multiple data centers, supporting more than 300B messages per day using distributed systems, partitioning, caching, and object oriented design computer engineering concepts. Design and develop microservices using RESTful and gRPC APIs for streaming and processing more than 300B messages per day (data events) and store data in Voldemort, Cassandra and other databases. Develop tools for managing data replication requests, troubleshooting, maintenance and performance issues in data replication platform using RESTful and gRPC APIs, Angular JS, JavaScript, and Java Servlets. Develop scalable components constituting data pipeline for streaming and processing billions of events (data points) from one system to another using Java, Kafka, SQL and NoSQL. Manage multiple Git/Bitbucket repositories, new features and bug-fixes development requests.
