JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Tools and Automation Engineer in Cupertino, California. Protect Apple and its customers from all emerging security threats. Work on triaging security and privacy issues at scale to find, communicate about, handle, recover from, and learn from security incidents. Cover the gamut of what Apple offers, including iOS, iCloud, OS X and Windows. Code test cases in Python to automate and scale test qualification. Conduct qualify security reports using clear guidelines. Build quality focused test-plans for regression, functional and performance testing for Apple's security features. Develop test strategies for functional features in security engineering and test automation for the features under test. Improve scalability and reliability of test infrastructure. Triage, analyze and investigate security issues reported to Apple. Explain complex security problems and advise on security design. Coordinate security incident response activities with affected teams to do the right thing for our customers and our organization. Write and follow clear documentation so that work can be accountable, repeated, predictable, measured, and improved. Communicate with external security researchers, peers and leadership about details of security reports, the perceived security impact and resolution plan. $161,000.00- $242,000.00/yr.
