JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Design and development of networking system configuration software. Specific areas of responsibility include networking interfaces, networking API, and protocols. Participate in the architecture and development of networking system configuration to ensure functional requirements are met. Develop networking APIs to support new networking features in Apple systems and address regression testing and cross-functional requirements. Assist in System level software design and Operating system understanding to address internal database impacts. Design test plans for database user interface utilizing knowledge in applications and programming. Collaborate with networking interface cross-functional teams (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Cellular) to design and integrate new features needed for Apple products. Document software defects using bug tracking system and reporting defects to software developers. Participate in product design reviews to provide input on the functional requirements and the larger context of the product and network environment. $161,000.00 - $242,000.00/yr.
