JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Systems Design Engineers in Cupertino, California. Design and develop wireless systems. Verify that antenna is suitable for wireless portable devices with good Over the Air (OTA) radiation performance, including SAR. Create and Execute detailed test plans for antenna passive and active OTA/SAR performance. Provide feedback to the design engineers for performance optimization. Create test reports and lead the radiated tests for type approval and certification. Create test plans to qualify and quantify different modulation schemes as required depending on the wireless communication system being designed. Design and implement embedded software to control RF transceivers and RF front end components. Design, develop and optimize the cellular modem processing algorithms pertaining to Baseband and RF components in a cellular system. Work with cross functional teams to define and integrate the RF performance specifications to embedded software. Develop automation test scripts by controlling device and test equipment for embedded SW validation. Embedded software debugging using trace, coredump, JTAG, etc. $130,000.00 - $196,500.00/yr.
