JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Develop and manage secure, robust, and high availability self-service tools to facilitate deployments of large-scale applications on third-party cloud providers and automate tasks to improve efficiency. Manage large-scale, highly available big data environments including HDFS, Hive, Oozie, Spark, PySpark or similar Apache Kafka based infrastructure supporting Petabytes of data. Build tools using programming languages like Go, Python or Shell Scripting for application, infrastructure, and data management. Build systems where observability is a first-class concern using protocols and tools that cover the space of log aggregation and mining frameworks like Splunk, ElasticSearch, and Prometheus. Manage data ingestion pipelines for large, big data infrastructure. Build, automate and support mission-critical infrastructure supporting applications leveraged by various teams. Work with container-based deployments and Unix/Linux-based platforms. Install, configure and manage modern web services and application infrastructure using IaaS to replicate the workloads for cloud platforms such as AWS, GCE, or similar technologies. Analyze and resolve customer-reported issues in production systems. Analyze and fix application and infrastructure vulnerabilities. Conduct performance analysis and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems. $161,000.00 - $242,000.00/yr.
