JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Hardware Development Engineers in Cupertino, CA. Design, develop, and launch next generation Sensing Technologies in Apple products. Integrate Optical, MEMS, magnetic and capacitive sensors across a variety of Apple products. Craft sensing solutions that enable user experience. Responsible for schematic design of analog and mixed-signal system boards and flexible printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies. Responsible for system level prototyping, integration, characterization, and validation. Complete failure mode analysis, root cause analysis, and system-level problem solving. Use MATLAB and analog circuit simulations with LT Spice or similar tools to work on sensor design/modeling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, process, firmware, and project management teams. Support product development, factory and test bring-up, build support, and failure analysis. Author regular technical communication for executive and cross-functional briefings. $130,000.00 - $196,500.00/yr.
