JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Design power efficient systems and software for Apple Watch. Explore and research new ways to advance battery life of Apple Watch. Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize energy usage of new features. Improve existing APIs. Build new APIs to help developers’ complete tasks efficiently. Monitor analytics to understand large scale trends and hot spots for battery usage. Analyze and implement improvements for existing system inefficiencies to prolong battery life. Work with quality engineering team to design tests and experiments to reproduce issues and verify design policies. Debug and identify causes of power regressions in power testing. Develop and maintain tools to improve our ability to debug and triage of energy issues. $130,000 - $196,500.00/yr.
