Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for its San Francisco, California office.

Job Duties: Design software components and software services for new feature developments, implement scalable software architecture and contribute to robust projects that are critical for Fleet Compliance and Safety, such as server solutions interfacing with best in class dashcams, tracking critical driving events, and tools for both Fleet managers and drivers; design and document scalable software solutions in collaboration with a cross-functional team; write secure, maintainable software code that powers the platform that connects the world's trucks, using Ruby (Rails), GoLang, or Python;  launch and support software features that will be used by the trucking industry and its partners; lead software code reviews and help guide software architecture decisions; serve as a resource for the product team to determine the technical feasibility of software features. Telecommuting permitted. 

Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Large-scale enterprise software development and design; Ruby (Rails), GoLang, Java, Python, or JS; API Development with microservices/SOA architecture using REST / gRPC; SQL or other similar relational databases; and Building automation tests, developing and executing unit tests and test plans.

Salary: $218,000 to $240,000 per year
