JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Product Design Engineers in Cupertino, CA and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Lead the design and manufacturing development of custom battery cells from ideation through testing and manufacturing. Develop cell requirements and specifications with system product development. Brainstorm design concepts and executes design concepts. Create designs including detailed written specifications, drawings and tool analysis. Develop designs and processes with external vendors. Validate product designs through testing and characterization. Conduct thorough design reviews and drives documentation releases. Drive failure analysis and design of experiments to implement corrective actions. Communicate project status through the management structure. International travel required 25%. $121,000 - $190,000/yr.
