Motive Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Perception Engineer for its San Francisco, California office.

Job Duties: Play critical role in launching core computer vision and machine learning technology that enables company’s AI products; prototype, validate and iterate new computer vision and machine learning algorithms; optimize, productionize and monitor/refine performance of machine learning models on the cloud and the edge devices; leverage knowledge of operational impact for different technology tradeoffs and balance effectively based on the company’s needs; promote ownership and good development process within the teams; enable other engineers on the team to be more effective through design and code that is easy to extend and contribute to; mentor junior engineers. The role requires working on a smart AI dash camera product for driver safety and driver coaching for trucking fleets that power the physical economy, the specific duties include working and (or) leading a group of engineers to: Build computer vision algorithms to detect distracted driving e.g cell phone usage, eating, drowsiness using the driver facing dash cam footage; Build computer vision algorithms to detect risky driving behaviors such as close following, unsafe lane change, stop sign violation etc using the road facing dash cam footage; Deploying the models on cloud and building scalable services / APIs around them; and Porting the models on edge / visual processing chip for real time incab alert. Telecommuting permitted. 

Requirements: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Three years of experience in: Computer Vision; Deep Learning; Machine Learning; Building complex and scalable machine learning pipelines; and Tensorflow.

Salary: $176,000 to $264,000
