Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc, San Francisco, CA. Grow and lead a team of engineers at all levels. Build high scale systems with a focus on reliability, scalability and solving mission-critical business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, general managers, and operations teams. Develop and inform the engineering strategy for your respective business unit. Building or leading high-impact tech initiatives and planning and roadmapping for the team to build a clear path to the goal. Building processes for tracking and managing execution. Understanding the team knowledge distribution, building plans to close gaps and reduce risks. Coaching, mentoring and providing career guidance, managing performance. Telecommuting permitted. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Salary Range: $273,915 - $342,000/yr.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the field of Software Engineering, Software development, or related occupation.

In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field and seven (7) years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in the field of Software Engineering, Software development, or related occupation.

Qualifying experience must include five (5) years in at least six (6) of the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);

• Developing and building large scale distributed systems or mobile platforms;

• Designing, building and maintaining scalable system architecture or Android app platforms;

• Full software development life cycle (SDLC);

• Script using Python, Bash, and Ruby;

• Programming in Java, Python, C, C++, Javascript or similar;

• Kotlin, React Native or similar;

• Jenkins, GitHub or similar;

• Planning, organizing, executing, managing timelines and tracking large scale development projects;

• Collaborating with business partners, product and other stakeholders.

Qualifying experience must also include at least three (3) years of experience in software project management, including leading teams of backend, mobile, or web engineers and reviewing team’s code and architecture decisions.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

Up to 10% travel (domestic) based on business need.
