Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA.

Grow and lead a team of engineers at all levels. Build high-scale systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and solving mission critical business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, general managers, and operations teams. Own the hiring process for your team by partnering with Recruiting to grow a diverse and inclusive organization, understand the Talent needs of the team. Inform the engineering strategy for your respective business unit. Inspiring your team and others with technical vision and customer obsession. Building or leading high-impact tech initiatives. Keeping up with the company and industry moves on the relevant fields. Planning and road mapping for the team to build a clear path to the goal. Building processes for tracking and managing the execution. Understanding the team knowledge distribution and building plans to close gaps and reduce risks. Coaching, mentoring, and providing career guidance, managing performance. Participate in any company-wide training programs (WeDash, etc.). Telecommuting Permitted. (ENGM-S-102-SV)

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $294,299 - $307,800/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the field of Software Engineering, Software development, or related occupation.

In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field and seven (7) years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience in the field of Software Engineering, Software development, or related occupation.

Qualifying experience must include five (5) years in at least eight (8) of the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);

·       Developing and building large scale distributed systems or mobile platforms;

·       Designing, building and maintaining scalable system architecture or mobile app platforms;

·       Full software development life cycle (SDLC);

·       Script using Python, Bash, and Ruby;

·       Programming in Java, Python, C, C++ or Javascript;

·       Kotlin, React Native or similar;

·       Jenkins, GitHub or similar;

·       Planning, organizing, executing, managing timelines and tracking large scale development projects;

·       Collaborating with business partners, product, and other stakeholders.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. 

Up to 10% travel (domestic) based on business need.
