JOB TITLE: System Product Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for System Product Design Engineer (REQ# 200603605) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design new and innovative components and modules for consumer electronics products to increase functional performance using 3D CAD. Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) tolerance analysis and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to ensure designs are feasible for mass production. Evaluate designs for mechanical and magnetic function using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations. Prototype new designs to evaluate the user experience and reliability performance. Evaluate designs for mechanical and magnetic function using state-of-the-art measurement equipment, including Instron and MagCam. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all functional aspects of the device can perform in parallel without degradation to individual aspects. Conceive, design, and bring into production products that will redefine the user experience. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Hardware Engineering, Antenna, Reliability, Packaging, Safety, and Marketing. Work in a highly dynamic environment that requires responding quickly to changes, managing multiple design tradeoffs, and finding creative, dynamic solutions. International Travel Required 10%.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,872 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
