JOB TITLE: Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Data Engineer (REQ# 200603604) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design relational databases and tables using SQL, Python, and other coding languages to integrate raw data from various systems such as SAP. Utilize data modeling design techniques such as fact tables and dimension tables to create a database structure that supports the data needs of the Retail Store Analytics team. Collaborate with other data scientists and data analysts, proactively gather feedback regarding coding readability, logic and assumptions, model design, database query performance, and apply database design and database management techniques to optimize code performance. Work with cross-functional business partners and vendors to acquire and transform raw data sources. Manage various raw data sources and data sharing platforms. Manage database and table access by developing Python code to ensure customized access and security among both the internal data team and business partners. Automate data quality checking by developing advanced algorithms and maintaining relevant documentation. Develop visualization solutions such as Tableau and Python Plotly to show store operations status, embedding interactivity so that users can self-serve and gather the information they need. Educate business partners on the logic and associated algorithms that apply principles of Operation Research.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,029 - $188,100/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
