JOB TITLE: Product Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Product Design Engineer (REQ# 200606830) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Designing and developing mechanical components, collaborating with cross-functional teams, prototyping and testing product designs, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness, and staying updated on industry trends and technologies. Additional responsibilities include creating models and prototypes to articulate design concepts. Evaluate functionality and understand early packaging performance. Partner with the industrial design team on design details and refinement. Conduct detailed design and 2D documentation of all parts and assemblies to be shared with vendor partners using strict security protocols. Work on performance testing and failure analyses to ensure the design meets requirements throughout its lifecycle. Work with external vendors and internal manufacturing teams on the development of manufacturing processes, tooling concepts, and functional and cosmetic specifications. International Travel Required 25%.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 - $214,500/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
