JOB TITLE: Systems Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLE INC has the following available for Systems Design Engineer (REQ# 200617057) in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Perform Validation of wireless technologies such as 4G, 5G on the latest hardware from early prototype to production units in the field. Create test plans for new cellular modem features for the latest iPhones. Evaluate internal automation tools for log analysis and post processing of field logs. Bring up weekly sanity tests on the latest iPhones for testing cellular modem features in field in presence of live network for various US carriers. Evaluate system performance metrics, key performance indicators of cellular technologies, post processing of the logs from the field. Perform deep-dive log analysis from the field collected logs and identifying the root cause of the issue. Collaborate with Wireless HW/SW teams to fix the issues impacting cellular performance and evaluate out the fixes in the field.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,446 - $213,700/yr. and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
