TITLE:     Sr. Steel Sourcing Analyst US

DUTIES:
Collaborate with sales and commodity managers in the US to review specific project needs and support shaping tailored sourcing strategies to meet customer requirements while enabling successful execution of projects. Develop models, automation and processes to enable scalability of such analysis. Duties include assessing project specific needs and maintaining close communication with sales; assessing overall sourcing strategy by markets with commodity managers and suggesting tailored project specific sourcing solutions; developing models and processes to enable scalability through automation; and preparing and rolling out Request for Proposals with US suppliers. Review and analyze supplier offers; build costing models and analyze trends to optimize steel sourcing strategy; and track and report on steel supplier performance. Provide support to commodity managers by drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with CMs CFT, GAM, BDM, Strategic Supply Chain Manager, engineering, quality and supply chain teams. Prepare and manage RFQs, QBRs, support CMS negotiations and escalations. Support quarterly pricing cycle, Inventory Reval, NREs, reconciliation, and capacity expansion. Support and manage cost roadmaps, capacity planning, and allocation strategy. Perform supply and demand analysis, landed cost analysis, supplier performance trends, cost of quality analysis, weighted average scoring and analysis for various situations supply chain team encounters. 25% domestic travel required to company headquarters, supplier factories, trade shows and project sites.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree* in supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in supply chain or senior analyst role working in an international environment, including 5 years of experience with cost modeling, forecasting and interpreting price indexes; 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office; 3 years of data analysis experience; and 1 year of experience working with the metal fabrication industry or the solar power generation industry.

*Employer will accept a Master’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related field, or foreign degree equivalent; and 3 years of experience in supply chain or senior analyst role working in an international environment, including 3 years of experience with cost modeling, forecasting and interpreting price indexes; 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office; 3 years of data analysis experience; and 1 year of experience working with the metal fabrication industry or the solar power generation industry.

Education and experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.

SALARY:                 $131,186-$145,000 per year

LOCATION:           40 hours/week in Fremont, CA (telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is permitted)
