Senior Data Scientist, Analytics (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA. Use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand business drivers; build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools; and work alongside and mentor junior analysts on how to use more advanced methods and solve challenges. Produce recommendations and use statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings; provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and long-term trends. Identify and measure levers to help move essential metrics and make recommendations. Sizing problems to ideating solutions, report against goals by identifying essential metrics and building executive-facing dashboards to track progress, and collaborate with engineering to implement, document, validate, and monitor our logging. 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary range: $211,536 - $268,200/yr.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or closely related quantitative discipline and three (3) years of experience in the field of data science or business / data analytics.

In the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics or closely related quantitative discipline and five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in the field of data science or business / data analytics.

Qualifying experience must include two (2) years in at least five (5) of the following (which may be gained concurrently);

-       Forecasting methodologies such as funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, or regression models;

-       SQL database queries;

-       ETL;

-       A/B Testing;

-       Statistical analysis including hypothesis testing, experimentation, or regressions using statistical packages such as Matlab, R, SAS or Python;

-       Business Intelligence (BI) or analytics & visualization tools such as Chartio, Looker, Tableau;

-       Machine learning; and

-       Performing simulation.

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

Up to 10% travel (domestic and/or international) based on business need.
