JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Develop augmented reality and virtual reality software applications. Research, investigate, design, develop, implement, debug and maintain augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) software applications. Work with Apple’s Human Interface team to implement 3D user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). Investigate, analyze and implement optimizations to fix CPU or GPU performance problems. Program and develop frameworks and systems architecture to support application experiences. Review software source code to identify defects and architectural problems. Work with Apple’s Technology Development Group to develop applications based on next generation computer vision and machine learning. Develop systems that conform to Apple’s strict guidelines around security, privacy and personally-identifiable-info. Review diagnostic reports and crash logs to root-cause software issues and performance problems. Work cross-functionally with teams across Apple to integrate ecosystem features into new software applications.
