JOB DESCRIPTION: Apple Inc. has multiple positions available for Software Development Engineer in Cupertino, California. Design and develop large scale distributed software systems for Apple Cloud Services. Design, architect, and develop systems for high availability, scalability, and reliability. Research, system test, document, and tune performance. Work closely with Project Management, System Administrators and other cross-functional teams to effectively coordinate the complex interdependencies. Work cross-functionally to identify different components of the system. Identify ownership and clearly articulate the goals, designs, and key metrics to track success of the owner modules. Define clear interfaces that establish the contract for different sub components to interact. Drive the design meetings within the team and various external stakeholders. Implement software systems with a clear focus on user experience, scalability, and reliability. Unit and integration test the software modules. Work with Quality teams to drive test cases, with a focus on the end-to-end experience. Work with site reliability teams for deployment and regular upgrade of the services in various Apple datacenters.
